Supertec Machinery Inc. was established since 1954 on the principle of “Everlasting, Innovation, Continuous growth and Excellence”. We sincerely treat all our customers with great warmth and exude a spirit of responsibility. We delicate all our energy in producing professional grinding machines for our customers with best quality, high accuracy and top performance.

In order to provide the customers with our very best products and service is continuing the research & development. Internally, we employ the 5S system of operations, computerization of operations, ultimately reduce costs and continue to strengthen our business’ foundation. Externally, we remain closely engaged with government, research institutions and educational institutions. As the business becomes increasingly difficult over the world, we continuously improve our competitiveness to create a sustainable and everlasting business.

HISTORY & EVENTS

*1954 Established in Taiping, Taichung County, Taiwan manufacturing bicycle parts. Supertec originally opened under the name Shing Teck Chi Iron Works.
*1957 Moved to Taichung City and expanded to include steel conveyor manufacturing in addition to bicycle parts.
*1960 Purchased 170 ping of land (~560m² / 6050ft²) at Shi-Chai Rd. Taichung, Taiwan and constructed factory space for the design and manufacture of motorcycle and automobile parts.
*1966 Considering the fast pace of industrial and commercial development in Taiwan and the leadership of the machine tool industry, we re-invested in the R&D of grinding machine design and manufacture, and changed our name to Shing Teck Precision Machinery Works Co., Ltd.
*1967 Developed the Fully Auto Hydraulic Surface Grinders P-20AD, P-30AD; High Precision Centerless Grinders C-12, C-20; and the Precision Cylindrical Grinder G-250.
*1969 Started to develop overseas markets in Thailand and other SE Asian countries.
*1972 Established relations with Chieh Yuan Lung Industrial Co., Ltd to enhance overseas sales and service.
*1972 Participated in the “R.O.C. Machinery Exhibition” held in Bangkok, Thailand to display a number of machine tool products and won unanimous praise from overseas representatives.
*1973 Developed the first generation hydraulic cylindrical grinders STG-600, STG-1000, STG-1500.
*1973 Participated in the “National Industrial Exhibition” held by the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI). Our company was immensely encouraged after we received the ”Distinguished Product Prize” at this show.
*1973 Purchased 400 ping of land (~1322m² / 14,200 ft²) and completed construction of new factory buildings at No. 56, 419 Lane, Pei-Toun Rd., Taichung City, and changed our name to Shing Teck Machinery Works Co., Ltd.. Production increased and our range of products grew to conform to domestic and overseas market demands.
*1973 Conditions for development were favorable and we established ”Shing Teck Foundry Co., Ltd.” at our former address which made operations more consistent.
*1975 Participated in the ”First Taiwan Machinery Fair” organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) in Taipei and received wide acclaim for our machines with many orders.
*1982 Both the Automatic Hydraulic Surface Grinder and the High Precision Centerless Grinder won Taiwan’s Golden Dragon Award for Machinery. Completed development of the CNC Surface Grinder.
*1983 Numerous orders from Kato Spring Works Co. Ltd., in Japan helped our Centerless Grinder break into the Japanese market.
*1985 To improve grinding machine quality we constructed a three-story factory at our original development, and worked with Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) to develop our CNC grinding machines.
*1986 Registered “Supertec” trademark.
*1987 Awarded the “A-Class Factory” classification from the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
*1989 Signed a Technical transfer agreement to purchase Know-How from Italian manufacturer “Grisetti & Co.” with one million US dollars, and procured high precision production technology. This markedly improved productivity and competitiveness.
*1990 Established our first US branch office to expand into markets there.
*1991 Earned approval from the Ministry of Economic Affairs as a reputable trademark.
*1991 Capital increased to NT$51 million.
*1992 Completed development of Universal Cylindrical Grinder G30P/G36P.
*1993 Started development on the CNC Plunge Cylindrical Grinder.
*1994 In response to sales and the need for increased capacity, we renovated our original building with to include a four-story office, and three-story factory space. Excellent growth followed.
*1995 Successful completion of development and export of the first CNC Angular Cylindrical Grinder with assistance from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industrial Development Bureau.
*1996 “Device for the Improvement of Wheel Dresser Structure in a Cylindrical Grinder” successfully patented.
*1996 “Device for the Controlled Descent of Internal Grinding on a Cylindrical Grinder” successfully patented.

“Safety Device for the Control of Horizontal Feed in a Grinding Machine” successfully patented.
*1997 Hydraulic Universal Cylindrical Grinder CE certified by SLG Pruf, Germany.
*1998 CNC Angular Cylindrical Grinder: G30A-50CNC earned top prize in the “Machine Tool Design Competition.”
*1998 “Grinding Wheel Stability and Lubrication System” successfully patented.
*1998 CNC Cylindrical Grinder and CNC Angular Cylindrical Grinder CE certified by TUV Rheinland, Germany.
*1999 “Slideway Forced Lubrication System” successfully patented.
*1999 Awarded a second patent for the “Reference Plane Measuring Device.”
*2000 “Swing Arm OD Measuring Device” successfully patented.

*2000
Completed development of the second generation CNC Cylindrical Grinder G32A/P-CNC. This machine was introduced at IMTS Chicago and quickly began mass production providing customers with even higher precision and efficiency.
*2001 Introduced the new “Planotec” series of Surface Grinders at Taiwan International Machine Tool Show, Taipei (TIMTOS) in response to high precision machining requirements from the 3C industry.
*2001 Surface Grinder CE certified by Amtri Veritas, UK.
*2002 Completed development of Hydro-Static Spindle CNC Centerless Grinder.
*2003 Changed name to “Supertec Machinery Inc“.
*2003 ISO 9001-2000 Quality Management System certified in order to provide customers with the best guarantee of product quality.
*2004 Completed development of the Dual Spindle ID/OD Grinding Machine.
*2004 Granted formal access to relocate to the Central Taiwan Science Park by the Executive Yuan National Science Council to develop high precision linear motor driven grinding machines and production equipment for the 3C industry.
*2005 Completed development of the CNC Centerless Grinder with auto production system for Cross Axis parts.
*2005 Completed development of the CNC Double Ended Grinding Machine.
*2006 The Supertec CNC Cylindrical Grinding Machine successfully started to produce automobile parts for Honda.
*2007 Completed development of the CNC Internal Grinding Machine for the production of automobile and motorcycle parts.
*2007 Honored with the “R&D Award of Excellence for Product Innovation” at TIMTOS for our newly developed CNC Travelling Head OD Grinding Machine.
*2007 Completed construction of our new factory and moved into the Central Taiwan Science Park in November.
*2007 Capital: NT$160 million.
